Fostering Creativity in Testeccio

Our site is located in Testeccio, a neighborhood in Rome, Italy. For this adaptive reuse project, we were tasked with developing an urban masterplan to revitalize a neglected area of Testeccio by focusing on better integrating the residential and non-residential areas of this neighborhood. In this area resides Campo Boario, a former slaughter house that is now home to various academies and artist workshops. Our goal was to connect this space to the larger green system in Testeccio while also fostering an active environment for creatives to collaborate and promote themselves.
